Camogli

CAMOGLI

Camogli is a quaint seaside village of colorful houses with a marina where quaint fishing boats set sail and tourist boats disembark.

Camogli is world renowed for its fish fry festival – held on the second Sunday in May. It is also known for Maris Stella – celebrated on the first Sunday of August, when millions of lighted candles are released to float on the sea in homage to Holy Mary. In addition to the many clubs and restaurants, Camogli offers well-equipped beaches directly accessible from the village.

And don’t miss the castle of Dragonara – overlooking the rocks at the edge of the cliff – and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.

It is just a 15 minute train ride from the Chiavari station or , if driving, follow the “Aurelia” toward Genoa arriving in less than half an hour (24km)

By boat, Camogli is only 10 miles from Marina Chiavari.
